Marriage is a successfull combination of a man and a woman in holy wedlock. Marriage came from God, and it is He’s idea from the beginning. It is marriage when He is involve.

Don raised a very interesting question on who exactly is a christian? maybe we should also ask what exactly is a marriage? When exactly do we say two people are now married. Is it when the priest pronounce them husband and wife, or the day they decide in their hearts that they want to spend the rest of their lives together as intimate partners who love, care and support each other, or is the day the groom’s family pay the requested “Lobola” to the bride’s family, or is the day when God bless two people who truly love each other to be husband and wife. if christians understand who have the authority to pronounce husband and wife, we might as well be surprised to find out that most of the things we call marriage are not actually marriage.

Mike, Be careful what you wish for. Bible scholars will all tell you that Christ had Mary Magdaline with him throughout his ministry.

There are so many variables here.. who exactly is a “Christian”? The bible makes it clear that believers should be known by their fruit. I think a more interesting question might be whether or not Christians have happier/better marriages. One would hope for a positive response here..
