Anna - a Christian perspective

Anna was a prophetess who lived in Jerusalem. She was of the tribe of Asher and was a widow. Anna spent all of her time at the Temple praying and fasting. When Jesus was taken to the Temple, she was there and she spoke about the redemption he was to bring to all of Jerusalem.
