Before Jesus heals the paralytic he tells him that his sins are forgiven. Immediately the religious leaders question if he's able to forgive sins or not. Jesus then asks them if it's easier to forgive sins or heal the lame? He then proceeds to heal the man, and the crowd responds with exclamations of, "we've never seen anything like this!"
