Purpose in the Bible: Romans 8:28-29
This is one of the most powerful assurances in all of Scripture: as Christians, our perspective on life's trials and suffering is unique, because we know that God has a plan for everything, even pain and sorrow. God is not the author of sin and pain, but He is capable of taking even the most awful situations and using them to point to something good.
