Like the man Jesus healed, we are all in a crippled condition. It may not be physical, but some things in our lives holds us back, just as this man was held back for many years by his paralysis. Maybe it’s holding you back from the kind of relationships you want to have, from spiritual victory, or from personal peace. It may have been there for a long time—it was thirty-eight years for this man.
