God's will then is a day becoming a week, becoming a month, and then eventually a month becomes a "God's will" year. And through each daily obedience He is making you into the right person, who will be at the right place, at the right time, with the right people. The Only Feedback That Matters - #6670http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-personal-power/the-only-feedback-that-matters-66702012-08-06T15:57:19-05:00
Over and over in our family, when one or the other of us has been faced with a major life choice, we've given each other the advice that sometimes we tend to forget: "Go with the peace." After all, Jesus' smile expressed through the inner peace He gives you, is the only feedback that really matters. Man's Forest and Woman's Trees - #6526http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-relationships/mans-forest-and-womans-trees-65262012-01-16T10:28:50-05:00
It's dynamite when you put men's and women's perspectives together. A man has this objective distance - created by God for that big picture, and there's nothing wrong with that. Put that with a woman's sensitive closeness, where she says, "You've got to come and look at the smaller picture with me." Put us together; we've got the whole story. Have the courage to do what Jesus would do. What would John Wayne do? Well, that's a little shaky basis for a decision. But what would Jesus do? If that's your bottom line all day every day, you won't go wrong. Don't base your life on what's going to change in 20 minutes—which is your feelings. Base it on the Word of God which hasn't changed in 20 centuries. The Leading of a Lifetime - #6269http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/the-leading-of-a-lifetime-62692011-01-21T11:23:50-05:00
Before you look ahead, look back at God's pattern in your life. His will is the natural next step of following Him daily up until now. He's leading you in a straight line. So, don't just grab the impulse of a moment. Look for the leading of a lifetime. The Choice You Will Never Forget - #6068http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-most-important-relationship/the-choice-you-will-never-forget-60682010-04-14T15:19:27-05:00
On Judgment Day, it will be all about Jesus and what you did with the Man who died in your place to pay for all the sins of your life. He didn't stay dead. Three days after He died, He walked out of His grave under His own power. So He's alive, and you will see Him at the end of your journey. The only thing that will matter at that moment will be what you did with Jesus. God won't care what you did with Christianity, but He'll base your whole eternity on what you did with Jesus. The Prophet Joel here speaks of the "valley of decision;" he says that there are multitudes in it because the day of the LORD is near. Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Confusing Voices - #8142http://hutchcraft.com/A-Life-That-Matters/Radio-Program/Confusing-Voices-81422008-11-25T11:32:42-05:00
Too many times I’ve been facing an important decision and there were a lot of voices pulling on me. Sometimes they have drowned out the only voice I can trust to give me the direction I never regret. The Bible says, “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). If I want to discover the life that matters He made me for, I’ve got to make time to be alone with God to hear His voice, which is often a still, small voice unlike all those others.
