Happily there are at last a growing number of books about various aspects of digital ministry. Dave Bourgeois' new book is primarily written to help Christian ministries understand how to integrate the Internet into their existing work. Latest Damaris materials which engage with popular culture include:
- free community resources about Song for Marion
- discussion guide on Beasts of the Southern Wild (which has now gone to DVD release)
- analysis of Shadow Dancer Les Mis - the film I want to see again, and why Les Miserables is incrediblehttp://internetevangelismday.com/blog/archives/102342013-01-28T11:07:31-05:00

I've already written about the incredible spiritual parallels in the film, the multiple starting points for conversation (many connected with personal pain and life issues), and the growing number of online resources available, especially the Damaris video shorts and study guide, and Rusty Wright's free-to-use article. Platform book is vital read for non-profits & Christian ministrieshttp://internetevangelismday.com/blog/archives/82372012-05-29T13:06:28-05:00
Michael Hyatt's new book 'Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World' is receiving a lot of praise. Hyatt is the chairman of Christian Publishers Thomas Nelson. Christian leadership guru DJ Chuang says in his blog review that it is "hands down the best book I've ever seen about blogging and social media!"

The Hunger Games movie has released across the world, with critical acclaim. It may not be a film that would appeal to your mother, or perhaps even you – if your demographic is not teens and twenties. Len Sweet's book VIRAL How Social Networking Is Poised to Ignite Revivalhttp://internetevangelismday.com/blog/archives/73932012-03-06T11:02:47-05:00
This book is probably the best and most insightful explanation of digital and print communication cultures, the tension between them, and the huge implications for Christians, the church and especially the retelling of the good news. We just cannot continue doing the stuff we used to do, because it won't work any more.
