In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians he writes about how we're all running a race. We are running to receive a crown of life that is worth far more than an earthy crown. He says he does not train aimlessly, but rather does everything to master his body. When an athlete decides to run a marathon, he or she commits to serious training. Why would it be any different with our spiritual life?
