If Adam isn't right, the garden isn't right either. There's stress, conflict, confusion, decisions not made if the man who is supposed to be leading isn't doing it. Think about it today if you happen to be on Adam's side of the human race. Could some of your frustrations be because you've been neglecting your God-given responsibilities to your wife, to your children, or to be the spiritual leader? Man's Forest and Woman's Trees - #6526http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-relationships/mans-forest-and-womans-trees-65262012-01-16T10:28:50-05:00
It's dynamite when you put men's and women's perspectives together. A man has this objective distance - created by God for that big picture, and there's nothing wrong with that. Put that with a woman's sensitive closeness, where she says, "You've got to come and look at the smaller picture with me." Put us together; we've got the whole story. The Rest of The Story - #6432http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-relationships/the-rest-of-the-story-64322011-09-06T09:49:08-05:00
Think about that person you care about, or that person who's hard to care about. You can focus on what they're putting you through, or what they're going through. And if you'll get the rest of the story, you'll be just like Jesus. Biblical Portrait of Womanhoodhttp://reviveourhearts.com/topics/downloads/index.php?id=98882010-08-25T14:34:55-05:00
Understand and embrace the distinct purpose God created you for with the help of this booklet by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Help meet - a Christian perspectivehttp://biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%202:18&version=KJV2009-09-28T16:31:51-05:00
God declares in Genesis 2 that it was not good for Adam to be alone and determines that he needs to create woman, or a help meet, to join in the work Adam is doing. Giving A Man A Makeover - #2895http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-relationships/giving-a-man-a-makeover-28952009-09-25T13:54:57-05:00
Unfortunately, a lot of women want to give God a little help in reconstructing the old boy. So she brings out her hammer and chisel - nagging him to change, pushing, criticizing, attacking, putting him down. She's making this guy her personal makeover project - "I'll change him." Not likely. All those push tactics make him feel cornered, attacked - less secure and therefore, less likely to change. Mothers in the Bible: Proverbs 31:9-31http://biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Prov.31.9-31&version=NIV2009-07-14T10:31:21-05:00
You've probably heard of the "Proverbs 31 woman"--the role model for Christian women, often cited in Mother's Day sermons. But despite its (over)use, this passage is a wonderful portrait of a woman committed to God: gracious in her relationships, savvy and integrity-filled in her professional life, and righteous in her behavior. Icelandic: God created the world in 6 days. He said, "Let there be light", and there was light. The evening and morning were the first day, and God saw that it was good. God created man out of the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life. God took a rib from Adam and created Eve.
