Checking Your Cargo - #6342
What are you dumping on people: garbage or goodies? How do they feel after they have been with you? Do they feel lighter, or do they feel heavier? Do they feel bigger or feel smaller? See, you're giving them what you've been storing up. It's a result of what you've been reading, and watching, and who you've been hanging around with, what you've been laughing at, and what you talk about on the phone, or do on the Internet all the time.

That Wonder-Working Word - #6340
So many objections to being a Christian melt away when you turn the attention to Jesus. "Oh, Christians are hypocrites!" Well, is Jesus? "Christians are inconsistent." Is Jesus? "All the church cares about is money." Does Jesus? What is it about Jesus you don't like? He's the issue. We tend to get off on detours about doctrine, and church, or things we're against. This is a relationship with Jesus Christ - no more/no less.

Out By Sundown - #6297
When we let conflict and hurt stay overnight in town - maybe many overnights - we destroy peace, we erode love, we erode trust. Unresolved anger is always a bad guy in town. And you know what to tell a bad guy, right? "I want you out of here by sundown!"

All of God's anger against human sin was taken by Jesus on the cross. But Jesus didn't stay dead. He blasted out of His grave and proved that He can deliver the eternal life He promised. You can tell how much God loves you by how much He spent on you. He spent His Son for you.
