"He is risen" in the Bible: Matthew 28:6
On Easter morning two thousand years ago, an angel said the words that would change all of history: "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said." Those words form the basis for Easter and are the central hope of Christianity. Now that Christ has risen from the tomb, we can be restored to a relationship with God.

The Quotations Bible Study
The Quotations Bible Study is a series of seven studies that examine quotations from the Old Testament in the New Testament. While the study was written with Lent in mind, it's a good study of Jesus' purpose and mission for any time of the year.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Nailing Your Colors to the Mast - #4242
In the account of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection that first Easter Week, we have the story of a follower of Jesus who knew all about lowering his colors when it might cost you to fly them. His name was Joseph - known by the town he was from, Arimathea. Apparently, he saw the crucifixion of Jesus - and then, something happened.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Sweet Celebration of the Loyal Fans - #4243
It's true in sports; it's true in life. Victory is sweetest for those who were loyal through it all. Like Mary Magdalene - in our word for today from the Word of God, taken directly from the glorious Easter story. Mary had been there at the cross, when all but one of Jesus' disciples had disappeared like scared rabbits. She had gone to the tomb for his burial. And now, after having been, along with some friends, the first one at Jesus' tomb that early Sunday morning, she just can't leave. She has found the tomb empty and now sunk to even greater despair, believing that someone has now stolen her Master's body.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Wall You Cannot Afford - #5090
Every wrong thing I've ever done, every lie I've ever told, every person I've ever hurt, every mean thing I've ever said, every selfish thing I've ever done, every dirty thing I've ever thought or done, and everything and everyone I've ever let be more important than God in my life. I'm cut off from God because of that sin-wall. And there's no way you or I can tear it down no matter how decent, or how religious, or how sincere we are. The only One who can do that is the very God we've rebelled against, and that's what He did the day His Son Jesus paid for our sin on the cross.

Bible Concordance :: Resurrection
Coming back to life after being dead. Death came into the world because of sin. Jesus raised people from the dead as a sign of God's power over sin. The resurrection of Jesus is the key victory over death and the beginning of the new creation.
