"Chosen generation" in the Bible: 1 Peter 2:9
We are all a part of the chosen generation of people that God has called out of the darkness into the light of God. In 1 Peter, the author declares the chosen generation as a "Royal priesthood, a holy nation."
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
