Jeroboam - a Christian perspective
Jeroboam was an Ephraimite whose father was Nebat. He was one of Solomon's officials who had been put in charge of the whole labor house of Joseph. He fell out of Solomon's favor after Ahijah the prophet told him that Solomon's kingdom would be divided.
