No Timeouts, No Victory - #6044
ray before you take that call. Pray before you make that call. Pray before you write that e-mail. Pray before you start your journey. Pray before you answer, before you make that commitment, before you make that purchase, or before you ask someone for a date or accept that date. Pray through your day before you face your day.

When Your Transformer's Out - #6033
Maybe you've been scurrying around, trying everything to find a solution except fervent, frequent, faith-filled praying. You don't need a planning meeting; you need a prayer meeting. You don't need a program; you need to pray. You don't need a fund-raising strategy or a new methodology or a human expert. Although God might use that, you need to pray as you've never prayed before, believing God for something so big, only He could do it!

Dynamite Praying - #5994
Frankly, our prayers are often so small, so predictable, so unworthy of the great God with whom we're talking. When you pray to a very big God for very big things, beginning with big things to happen in you, prepare for something explosive to happen. That will be the sound of your God blowing the lid off things!

Flying High, Falling Flat - #5997
Every time God does something good in your life, the devil is there with some cheap shot he wants to use to rob you of the joy of what God has done. Don't fall for it. It's like you've just won the Super Bowl, you're walking off the field, and your defeated opponent says, "I'll make you pay for this." And he gives you a bloody nose. Yes, he hurt you a little, but he can't change the outcome. You still won, and nothing he can do can change the victory.

Confession and Thanksgiving
Do you pray for blessings and riches? Remember: abundance is no guarantee of gratefulness or thanksgiving. Prosperity may even turn our hearts away from the Lord.

Prayer as a powerful means of evangelism
This devotional by noted Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias draws on an unusual experience from a visit to a communist country, Ravi shows that powerful witnessing can take place when we simply model for others what prayer and worship look like.

When Do You Pray? - The Gospel.com Blog
Whether it’s in the morning, during lunch or in the evening, most people try to block out some time every day for prayer.

Does God Listen to the Prayers of Non-Christians?
There’s that old saying that there are no atheists in foxholes, but do those foxhole dwellers need to confess that Jesus is Lord before God will grant them safety? Or does God answer every prayer offered to Him regardless of one’s standing in the Kingdom?

Thanksgiving - a Christian perspective
When we go to God with our requests--and this passage explicitly encourages us to do so--we are to do so with a spirit of thankfulness. God doesn't discourage us from approaching him with our needs; just the opposite, he wants us to go to Him with all of our requests.

Holy Hands in the Bible - a Christian perspective
Paul tells Timothy that it's his desire to see all people pray with holy hands uplifted. He wishes that people could pray without becoming angry or disputing.
