Men's Work - Women's Work - #6288
You demonstrate your dignity, not by how many people do things for you, but how many people you do things for. That's manhood! Jesus, the ultimate model of manhood - a muscular carpenter - can be a foot washer. The mighty Son of God can be a servant. That's the kind of real man that a woman loves to love.

Why Your Cage is Shaking - #6291
It's time to abandon the cover-up and begin the clean-up. Things will not get better until you do. Your problem may not be what it appears to be at all. Maybe that's just the symptom. The problem may be sin that has not been confessed; not repented of; not cleaned up.

You Get it Ready - #6301
The size of the preparation often determines the size of the miracle. See, we live in unnecessary poverty because we overestimate the problem and we underestimate God. So, pray as if something God-sized is going to happen. Plan as if something God-sized is going to happen. Budget, and dream as if something God-sized is going to happen. Live as if that obstacle will move like the waters of the Jordan River.

Facebook wall landing page problem - how to ensure non-fans arrive on your Wall.
If you have a Facebook fan page, you absolutely must check what landing tab/page people arrive at if they are not already fans. Best way to do this is open the Facebook page in a different brand of browser – for instance the excellent Chrome – and do not log in to Facebook. That way, you will see what non-fans see. You may be surprised to find that what they land on is the Info tab/page, which may contain limited and unenticing information. And yes, this may happen even though, in the Edit Page permissions, you have set ‘Wall’ as your landing page for non-fans.

Problems and opportunities in church ministry, online and offline
# Steve Kryger at Communicate Jesus blog, recently needed to phone a number of churches in his country. What a nightmare! Those who have attempted to email churches via their websites have found a similar picture.
# Changes to Facebook make it easier for churches or groups (rather than individuals) to have a Facebook presence. OurChurch has blogged about these developments.
# Craig von Buseck interviews Sterling Huston about digital evangelism here – one question discussed is that of having a web evangelism team within a church. Do you know of churches who already have such teams? Please share how these work, using the ‘comment’ link below.
# We now have a 2-page handout about digital evangelism, which can be used to print and distribute in a church, or can be republished (in whole or in part) in newsletters, blogs, magazines:

Christian ministry response to disaster: David Wilkerson's prophecy of judgment
Without wanting to sound apocalyptic, we know that we live in very uncertain days. One Christian leader has predicted serious inner city problems. Blogs provide a good forum to discuss such issues – here is some very balanced and sensible discussion about his prediction at Monday Morning Insight. It is certainly a very possible scenario – a prolonged recession, unemployment, repossions etc will bear down most on the people at the bottom of the pile, and they will not necessarily react with the patience that newsreel of 30’s soup kitchens seem to suggest. This recession will be likely be harder and longer than anything most of us have seen, and it will take many years to sort out and pay off the mess created by the kindly bankers and their mickey mouse money schemes. Spare a thought for unemployed in Japan, who have to sell nearly everything before being entitled to unemployment benefit.

Lack of emphasis on evangelism outreach in the church: the 99 Percent Problem
It’s almost like there's a rule: 99% to us, 1% for them. We can see it reflected in Christian bookshops, where a search of the book titles and videos will reveal that the vast majority of material is produced entirely for Christians, in terms of language, content and underlying assumptions. Just how many books and videos are truly evangelistic and accessible to unchurched people who do not know the language and the concepts?

Short story: frequently lost or forgotten keys to evangelism
Most of us have a lost key story. In English, we sometimes use the word ‘key’ quite loosely, for instance ‘keys to improving your garden’. The implication is an optional addition to a reasonably successful effort. But with real keys, it is all or nothing. Without a key, you are powerless, stymied, stuck.

Imposter syndrome - feeling you are a child when all around are adults
Did the Russian spies feel this? It is a common stress factor for Christians.

When Your Transformer's Out - #6033
Maybe you've been scurrying around, trying everything to find a solution except fervent, frequent, faith-filled praying. You don't need a planning meeting; you need a prayer meeting. You don't need a program; you need to pray. You don't need a fund-raising strategy or a new methodology or a human expert. Although God might use that, you need to pray as you've never prayed before, believing God for something so big, only He could do it!
